MĀTRA Apothecary was founded by Dr. Rosie McDonald, a medical doctor with a deep-rooted passion for women’s health, hormonal balance, and evidence-based skincare.

Throughout her clinical career, Rosie witnessed firsthand how often skin concerns were dismissed — especially when they intersected with hormonal shifts, sensitivity, or chronic irritation. Frustrated by the lack of truly hormone-safe options in the skincare space, she envisioned something different.

A line of products that would be:

Her medical background, combined with years of research into endocrine disruptors and skin physiology, became the foundation of MĀTRA.
